I am trying a place a validation on transition to "Closed" status from "any status"
by placing the validating custom fields value.
While adding the rule in workflow I don't see the option of "restrict to when a field is specific value". Is there any configuration which has to be done or is this field not available in company managed software.
Can someone suggest workaround for this ?

Use the Regular Expression Check validator.
Select eh Field and then put in the value for the check in the Regular expression: field. Be sure the value is the exact same value needed, including Case.
