Using the REST API, how do I know whether a board on a next-gen project is Kanban or SCRUM?

Given a next-gen project and the associated board, what is the query to the REST API to learn about the type (Kanban or SCRUM) of the project and board?

Neither the project resource nor the board resource seems to provide this information:
* https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/software/rest/api-group-board/#api-agile-1-0-board-boardid-project-get
* https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/software/rest/api-group-board/#api-agile-1-0-board-boardid-get

Hello Dennis,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

Testing on my local site, the API only returns if it's a next-gen or not. I also tested the Jira Cloud REST API to get all the projects to check if it would show the template of the project, but it doesn't.

Based on that, I created a feature request suggesting to show this information for next-gen projects:

Please, click on vote and watch to receive updates about the feature.

Angélica
