Using automation for round-robin assignee which is different than the reporter

Hi.

We use automation for jira addon and one of the rules we have is to use a round-robin to auto-assign an issue when it hits the 'requires review' status.

Sometimes the developers create a technical task which then needs to be reviewed.

However, the round-robin will, in some cases, auto-assign the issue to the same person who created it (the reporter).

Is there a way to set the rule to use round-robin but to skip the assignee if it's the same as the reporter?

My current rule is set up to try to avoid such case, but I'm not sure it's the best way.

Hey there Gil,

There's no native option to do this at the moment. I've raised this at https://codebarrel.atlassian.net/browse/AUT-1738 but what you've got is a pretty good workaround really!

Cheers,

Mark C

Thanks @[deleted]

Is there an option to get updated if this improvement is going to be released?

Hey there Gil,

I've created a ticket for you at https://codebarrel.atlassian.net/browse/CBS-17978 so when AUT-1738 is completed you should get a ping

Cheers,

Mark C
