Using Jira Cloud, change the timeline increment display from quarters to months?

Gina Mirigliano

In Jira Cloud, how can I change a timeline to display in monthly increments only and have only months stated in the timeline header? The plan timeline currently displays a header stated in months and quarters together.  I've researched this and can see in various instances in videos that in the bottom right of the plan an option is provided to change increments. This option does not display on my plan. Thanks.

Hi @Gina Mirigliano,

From your screenshot, I dare quite confidently say that you are using a Data Center version of Jira, not cloud. That explains the difference with the screenshots shared by @Dexter de Vera.

The DC version does not have the same controls as Jira Cloud, but it seems the way the timeline is displayed is related to the time horizon you choose for your plan. On this screenshot from product documentation, you can see that on a 1Y horizon, months are displayed instead of quarters:

Hope this helps!

Or not 😂 - when I zoomed into the screenshot, I just noticed that it displays quarters too 🤦‍♂️

Indeed, Data Center. Thank you for swinging Walter!

If your referring in Advance roadmap (plan), make sure your in Timeline tab.image.png

If you cant see it, can you give us screenshot of your timeline display.

Thank you Dexter. The top ribbon does not include the Timeline tab displayed in your example. The bottom right does not display the scaling option your screenshot includes. Here are the screenshots of my install. Thank you,
