For the past few weeks, some users who are part of the project team have not been receiving email notifications when someone tags them in a particular user story, although they used to receive emails a few weeks back.

Thanks for the prompt response and resolution, Bill, but the above-mentioned notification is already enabled. Unfortunately, some users are still not receiving the emails.

That would seem to indicate a problem on the receiving versus the sending side, as Clark describes.

Welcome to community!
If the emails are going through for some but not others this sounds like users have setup filters on their mailboxes, if the users all work for the same company. I would recommend having those users work with the email team at the company
If all users are not receiving email or all users from different companies aren't then you would need to work with your email team. It could be something in the DMARC settings, or global filter settings etc to figure out the issue of emails not being recieved overall
