User with special characters cannot be removed

When I wanted to delete some users with special characters , there are some errors info showed:"The user does not exist please select a user from the User Browser", please help to solve the issue.

My JIRA version is 5.2.9; The user of jira reside in Crowd; The accounts can't be disabled and renamed; Thanks Terry

Could you answer a few questions so I have a better idea of what you're experiencing?

What version of JIRA are you running?
What kind of directory does this user reside in? (Internal, LDAP, Crowd, etc.)
Can you currently disable or rename the account?
