our Jira of version 7.5.2 only sends 'XY mentioned you on .... ticket' if I'm not a watcher of the ticket. In case of being a watcher, I get 'XY commented on ...ticket' notification email.
Some users claim that it was not the case earlier: they got user mention email even they were watchers (i.e. they got 2 emails in case of mentioning).
Is it possible to configure Jira this way? That the users will get 'XY mentioned you on ... ticket' emails under all circumstances. The colleagues apply special filter for being mentioned. This is why I ask.
Or can you make sure that Jira 7.5.2 does not provide this feature anymore?
