I have different groups of developers with all there own project. I do not want them to see or work in different projects but only see their own. is this possible?

regards

Hi Brian,

yes, of course. You have to set different permissions to your projects. This can be done by

  • different permission schemes or
  • project roles

I would create a new permission scheme (copy the existing one) and remove the "all users" or "jira-users" permissions from that  permission scheme - add project roles instead.

Then add your developers to the project roles of the projects they should see.

Last, set the new permission scheme to the projects.

Thank you for your kind reply. I created a new permisison scheme and removed everyone and add project roles instead.

how do I add my developers to the project role of the project?

Project admin -> People is where you maintain people in the roles of the project.
