User is showing as deleted in the dashboard as the creator.

Thomas was looking for his dashboards and was not seeing them. He went to manage dashboards and his dashboards shows his user is deleted. He is logged in on his user so not sure why it would show this. He has no other users setup.
He took ownership of the dashboard and now he is able to use it but on the dashboard, it shows the created is still user deleted. Why would it be showing this?

Does this user have more than one Atlassian account? Perhaps they logged in under a different account previously, and that account was subsequently deactivated?
