User account question

Hi All,

a new feature need has arisen in the recent weeks in our Jira instance:

There a some security projects which lead grant access to particular users for a short period: etc. for 2 weeks. Similar to this we would like to manage our customer's (external user's) user accounts that when we create them their account will be active only for 60 days. After 60 days passed they need to request to activate their account again. This is for securtiy reasons.

How can you achieve these features? Is there a plugin for that?

Thanks in advance!
Rumi

It would be fairly easy to do this a plugin. You just need a service that does this check and inactivate users if they were created or last activated before 60 days.

I haven't seen a plugin for this though. Not a very generic requirement ;)

Inside Jira, no, there's nothing like that. I've not even seen a plugin to do this (although I can't imagine it would be hard to write a service that deactivates users after a while)

If you have external account management, then you should be able to do it there, depending on the tool you're using.
