User able to see all projects instead of just 1

ann_huo August 2, 2023

Hi,

I went through the normal process of creating a new group assigning them to jira product access, removing the default jira group, adding the right people, and assigning the group to one project.

For some reason though this is the only group that still is able to view all projects...I am wondering if this is because it is a team managed project?

Can someone help provide some guidance please? Thank you!

Hi @ann_huo ,

Welcome to the community. Please have a look at the project settings and permissions and assess the browse permissions. Compare the groups or roles that have browse access to those associated with the user. Invariably the user Will likely be found to be in one of the roles/groups having browse access.

@Jack Brickey are you referring to the "browse users and groups" permission in global settings?

No. I am referring to the below. Although to be clear this is for company managed projects not team managed projects. Can you clarify which project type you are using by looking in the bottom left-hand corner?
