User Picker error "Could not find usernames: " when editing a task

In our Jira Cloud, I can select any user upon creation on my custom field named Approvers (User Picker (multiple users)) and it all works well.
However, if I want to edit the task and click update the following thing happens:
So I have to delete the members in the warning and re-add them each time I do an update.
