We want to migrate all the Atlassian app data (Jira, Confluence, Projects, Goals) from one user (email) account to another user(email) account in the same organisation.

Please suggest a step-by-step guide on how to proceed futher.

Hi @Jawaad Shaikh

Welcome to the community!

Quick check: Have you claimed ownership of the user domains?

If yes, you can update the user’s email address to the target account. Here’s an example for migrating userA@xyz.com to userB@abc.com (considering xyz & abc domains are claimed):

  1. Rename userB@abc.com → userB_dummy@abc.com
  2. Rename userA@xyz.com → userB@abc.com

After this change, all associated Atlassian data (Jira, Confluence, Projects, Goals) will remain accessible under userB@abc.com.

Note: If userB@abc.com (renamed to userB_dummy@abc.com) already contains existing data, this method may not work as expected.

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards
Utkarsh
