Urgent: Permission Issue – Unable to Edit, Assign, or Manage Jira Backlog

Issue Description: I am currently facing several permission-related blockers in Jira that are preventing me from managing the product backlog and moving tasks forward. Specifically:

  • Field Access: I am unable to add or edit fields within the "Discovery" phase/issue type.

  • Assignment: I do not have the permission to assign tickets to developers.

  • Backlog Management: I am unable to add or edit descriptions for tickets currently in the backlog.

 

Since this was working a few days ago, could you please check if there is a Group Sync issue or if the Permission Scheme for the [Collections] board has been altered?

I need this restored immediately as I am unable to manage the current sprint or backlog.

Here we are a user community. We don't have access to your Jira instance.

You need to report this issue to the administrators or support team for your Jira instance, telling them the specific Space/Board you are trying to work with. If you are unsure who to contact try the person who notified you originally that you were granted access to the Jira instance, or the technical support team of the company whose data is contained in the Jira instance.

Possible causes for your issues are:

- the permission schemes of the Spaces have been changed

- your association with Space roles has changed

- your membership in user groups that granted you permissions has changed.
