Currently my company is running JIRA version 5.1.7.  We are having issue with versions of Java that are higher then 1.7.45 when attaching screenshots.  From what I am able to tell we this is because of the validity of the JIRA cert which was only good until 01/16/2013.  It would appear that we can solve our problem by upgrading to a newer version of JIRA. I am not 100% of what it would take to make the jump from 5.1.7 to 6.3 and how complicated it would be to do so.  The other part of this is that JIRA is a highly critical part or my teams daily job.

Any help would be appreciated.

It is a straight upgrade but you need to look at the plugins and customizations you have to know the exact complexity.

And of course, test it!
