Upgrading Jira from 7.9.2 to 8.2.3

I'm currently running Jira 7.9.2 and I want to see about upgrading to the latest level that I can the latest release is 8.2.3 can I upgrade directly to that version I will be doing a inplace upgrade if that makes any difference

or going from 7.X.X to 8.X.X does tat require extra steps ?

From 7.x you can upgrade directly to the latest.
