We are upgrading JIRA software from v6.1.6 to v8 but not planning to upgrade Confluence and Crucible.

The idea is to upgrade only JIRA Software as we have everything we wanted in and will not be using Confluence and Crucible going forward. That is just to preserve the history  which is equally important to us.

Confluence is sitting on v5.1.0 and Crucible is sitting on v3.8. Will that be working without any issues?

Please assist.

Hello @Mihir Sanghvi  Welcome to the community!

Coming to question, you might have couple of cases,

  1. If you Jira is interlinked with Confluence and Crucible, you need to Application Link Version shipped with all version and there compatibility.
  2. If they are independent you don't need to worry about any thing.

In case 1, here are some links to help you finding answer https://confluence.atlassian.com/applinks/application-links-version-matrix-779174762.html
