Hi Community,

unfortunately I'm new in Confluence. The employee which installed and implemented it has left without documentation.

I now have a more or less good overview and will upgrade the confluence instance from 7.2.0 to the lastest one.

But fi I go to "plan you upgrade" I cannot choose any upgrade due to a blue box above:

"Check for new Jira versions.
A newer version of Jira may be available.
We recommend using these upgrade instructions with the latest version available from Update Jira Software Server."

Jira was previousely used, but we don't want to use it anymore and I do not bought new subsrciption for it.

My Questions now are:

  1. Have I to update Jira even if it is not used/usable because it is needed by Confluence?
  2. Do we need to buy a Licence/subsciption for Jira?

OR

  1. Have I to remove Jira at some place?
  2. How do I identity it?

If there is any good instruction it would be glad to know that.

Thank you,

Andreas

Hi @Andreas Honnerlage

You do not have to buy/renew/upgrade Jira to upgrade Confluence Server. Just follow this instructions.

Best regards,

Piotr
