Upgrade from 8.1.0 to 8.20.26, unable to connect to db

Good morning all,

 

We have recently tried to upgrade JIRA from 8.1.0 to 8.20.26 to ensue we are able to migrate to cloud. Unfortunately ever since the upgrade, we are unable to connect to to the Database.

Is anyone here who could assist?

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

I'm afraid "unable to connect to database" tells us nothing about the problem.

What is the actual error message you are getting?  If it's only unable to connect in the web front-end, then you are going to need to go read the application logs to find out what the actual error is. 

Start with <Jira home>/logs/atlassian-jira.log - that's the main log and usually where connection errors will be logged.
