Updating 'Original Story Points' Field value automatically from Story Points field?

Any ideas on how to update 'Original Story Points' field automatically with the first value entered in the 'Story Points' field?
For instance, we have both Original Story Points field and Story points field added to the story issue screen. User creates a story and enters 9 in Story Points field. Now, 9 should be auto-updated in the original story points field. Again, if user updates the story points for the same story from 9 to 11, the original story points field should remain as 9.
Any ideas on how to achieve this?
