Updating Component Description Fields

JIRA Users, I am looking for any opportunity to bulk update Component descriptions.  I have seen methods to create the Components via CSV Issue imports however I cannot find any option to update the Description fields in mass.  I was wondering what other users have done besides the API route?  Is there any method to surface the Component records in Confluence and update the Description fields via that interface?

Looking for all ideas, I am looking at a bulk upload of 50+ components, and I DO NOT have System Administrator access.
