Updated end date values for issues is reverted back to the old values

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
I am trying to update the end dates for few of my sub tasks and stories in Jira. It looks like it is updated. But when I refresh the page , I see that end date is reverted to old values. Can you please advice what could be the reason? Please note that I am facing this issue only with few Jira issues.
