Update the custom field values

Hi Friends,

I have one custom field(Text Field) in my JIRA. In that it is possible to udpate some default value(null), in case the value did not entered into the field.

I am a little confused as well. What is sounds like to me is that you want the field to be default(null) if no information is entered into this field?

I don't understand the requirement, sorry.

Do you mean you want to force data into a field? The user should never leave it blank? Make the field mandatory will fix that.
