Update the calculated fields in jira using rest api

HI,

I am trying to update certain fields like IssueType using rest api. Current when I update using the jira UI, the update in issue type automatically updates the summary for the issue.  But when I use the rest api to update the issueType, even though the issue type is successfully updated, the summary doesnt update. 

Is there an api to refresh or recalculate the calculated fields?

The summary for an issue is not a calculated field.

Could you explain what field you think is calculated?
