Update subtask field when same parent field is updated

Is there a way, natively and not automation, where if I update the description field of a parent task, the associated subtask will be updated as well?

I say "not automation" as I am only allowed a few automation triggers a month.

Hello @Jason Chayer

Automation rules are the "native" method to accomplish that requirement.

On a Standard subscription plan you should have up to 1700 automation executions per month. How have you determined that you have "only a few" automation triggers a month.

Also, just because a rule is triggered does not necessarily mean that it counts against your usage. It depends on what actions it takes. If you leverage Conditions, you can limit when the rules continue processing after being triggered and lower your usage.

@Trudy Claspill - thanks for the reply. I did not realize I had that many automations, I was told much lower than that.

I will try out the conditions to see how I can keep my number low.
