I have a Jira account that is currently mapped to the email ID old@domain.com. However, this email address has become inactive due to some issues, and I haven’t updated it in Jira.
Now, when I try to change the email ID to new@domain.com, the verification link is being sent to old@domain.com, which I can no longer access.
Since new@domain.com is already registered with Jira, is there any option to transfer all task history and data from old@domain.com to new@domain.com?
or any option to update the mail id without accessing the old@domain.com
@Jayakrishnan S
Don’t “transfer” data between two Atlassian accounts—in Jira Cloud, all issue history, ownership, and access live on the same accountId, not the email, so the right fix is to put new@domain.com onto your existing account; merging separate Atlassian accounts is not supported. If new@domain.com already has an Atlassian account, first free that email by changing that account’s email to a temporary one, then update your original account to use new@domain.com; if your account is managed, ask your org admin to do this in Managed accounts.

Hi @Jayakrishnan S and welcome,
for my knowledge, using builtin feature is not possible to migrate all the historical data from olduser to a new one (if you have no access to the old email address)
Please take a look to the following how-to guide https://support.atlassian.com/jira/kb/transfer-user-data-to-another-user-including-assigned-issue/ that can help you to migrate what you can.
Hope this helps,
Fabio
