Update a custom field value in a workflow post function with scriptrunner (Cloud version!)

Hi,

In Jira on server we used to have some scriptrunner workflow post function that gave some custom fields an initial value at issue creation or another transition in a workflow.

I'm a bit surprised to find such a basic function and usage of scriptrunner to be undocumented.

Does anyone has an example script of setting a custom field value with some screenshots? 

Note this is a question for Jira Cloud, so a Rest API script is needed.
