Latelly we have added our Jira OnDemand license the Greenhopper functionalities.
We have migrated our current projects and also created new test projects but we have a common issue.
(Using the simplified Greenhopper workflow) When we move stories/tasks to Done (Resolved / Closed) the issues resolution status is "Unresolved" and we have not found a way to automate this to Fixed or anything else.
Therefore, if we go to the Project summary page, or the project issues, all issues are unresolved and nothing keeps track. Also some of the Jira reporting tools are not working fine with the "Unresolved" status.
How should we proceed in order to automate the resolution of a issue/story when the tasks are dragged to a column in a Scrum board? Do we need to create a new workflow for this?
Thank you!!
Yes, you will have to modify the Simplified workflow by adding a post function to set resolution when the issues are Resolved/Closed.
Thanks Jobin,
Creating a new workflow (or modifiying the simplified one) and configuring it manually solved the problem. The automatic Simplified workflow was not working as expected and this was very confusing.
Thanks again.

Francisco, while converting existing projects to Simplified workflow, this behaviour is seen. If a new project is created within GreenHopper, the setting of resolution is automatically taken care.

It's fairly poor to hinder the existing user base by having this broken functionality with legacy conversions to Greenhopper.. Sure it works for new projects, but having an old project myself, this problem is anything but "simple" to solve..
