HI

On the sprint report, I could see that the story points in the complex and not completed and the collective Or cumulative number is also displayed with different combinations. I was trying to understand what it indicates and how to interpret it while reading the report but could not find useful links to understand it. Any inputs would be helpful

  1. ([points] -> [points]) example (63 -> 68)
  2. (-  -> [points]) example (- -> 8)
  3. ([points]) example (8Screen Shot 2020-02-20 at 4.30.41 PM.png

I'm not sure what your question is. Each story in your Sprint is or should be assigned a Story Points value. How you interpret Story Points is up to your team to decide. Best practice is to think of Story Points as an indication of implementation complexity, where 1 Story Point is a trivial task and 2 Story Points is a little harder and so on. Many teams will set a limit on how the maximum Story Point value so that no Story should be too complex - any Story that would violate that limit should be split into smaller Stories.

The value at the top (36 in your picture) represents that total Story Points for all of the Stories in that Sprint. If you change Story Points during the course of the Sprint, you will see that reflected in the report. Generally, it is bad practice to change the story points, such as adding/removing Stories or modifying the points during a Sprint. so the report helps to show where you may be allowing bad practices to creep into your Scrum.

Not sure if this helped to answer your question.
