Unable to view swimlanes by story

1. I have an active sprint board created and I am have admin access

2. I am able to configure swimlane by assignee and view is correct

3. When I configure swimlane by story I do not see the swimlanes.

Please Help.

when you use Stories for swimlanes then you should have a swimlane for each story that is in the Active sprint. You will see sub-tasks associated w/ active stories in the swimlane. You will not see a story-swimlane if the story is in the backlog. Issues without sub-tasks will be shown in their own group at the bottom. Here is an example...
