Unable to update Jira issue description with mediaInline via REST API (400 Bad Request)

We are integrating Jira Cloud via the REST API to sync issues between two Jira instances. While updating the description of an issue (to include text + attachment reference using mediaInline), the API call consistently returns 400 Bad Request.

Unfortunately, since you haven't provided any information such as:

  1. Which specific API endpoint you're using
  2. What language / toolset / library / framework you made the request with
  3. The actual request you made to that endpoint, with code samples
  4. What validation testing / debugging you did

...then there's probably very little insight anyone can offer as to what the problem might be.

PS. Given that you duplicated this question over in the Developer's Forum, the only advice I can give is the same as over there... refer to the How to Ask A Good Question thread for a good overview of the minimum standard that YOU would expected of another programmer if they asked YOU to give them assistance with that problem.
