Unable to see the TestRail test cases details in JIRA Issue API response

Hello Folks we have integrated our JIRA with Test Rail using the plugin. Now we are able to see the test cases from testrail in JIRA UI when we link them using the references field. But the same info is not present in the JIRA API call to that specific issue. Can some one please help? We wanted to see if the tests are linked to this issue if not we would take appropriate action.
