Unable to see sprint bucket created in backlog until a ticket is moved into the sprint

I'm having an issue whereby if someone else (administrator on the same project as I am on) created a sprint bucket in the backlog. I am unable to see the empty sprint bucket.  All other administrators can see the sprint bucket.

Only when someone moves a ticket into the new bucket can I then see it in my Backlog view. I am also an administrator on this project.

Any ideas why this may be?

Hi @Louise Brazier and welcome to the Community!

Based on your description, I would assume there are multiple scrum boards being used. Most likely, your fellow administrators create sprints in another board, which would be the logical explanation as to why they are not showing on your board backlog until an issue is assigned to it.

While sprints are globally available in Jira, they only appear in the board they were created in until issues get assigned to them. From that point onwards, they become visible in all boards where the board filter exposes the issue(s).

Hope this helps!
