Unable to remove a user

Using free account. We need to remove one or org admins as a user. I'm also an org admin. When trying to delete through user management, I received and error stating "We're unable to remove this user", "We couldn't remove this user from your organization. Try again". The user is unable to remove himself as well.

What are the exact steps you executed (navigation options, buttons clicked) to try to remove the user?

1. User Management under Admin Settings

2. Selecting Users under Directory

3. Hover over actions next to user

4. Selecting Remove user

5. Remove user pop up displays and select Remove 

6. Error displays unable to remove user

Thank you for that additional information, @Caitlin Zug . I was able to recreate the same error in my own Free instance.

The solution is to first revoke the user's Organization Admin role.

Then you can use the Remove User option.
