๐๐ป Hi lovely people!
One of our developers has connected JIRA to one of our slack channels by accident. I'm trying to DISCONNECT Jira from that channel (and leave the other channels connected, which have already been setup) .. so I do this..
/jira manage.
then click the MANAGE button .. and it ends up going to a 404 page in Atlassian :(
I can't see how I can remove this connection :(
Can someone please help?
thanks!
Hello @Justin ,
Welcome to community :)
Could you please confirm on the project board if you able to see the tab slack integration and then try to delete the channel from there
Please also check if the add on integration is enabled
Link : https://xxxx.atlassian.net/plugins/servlet/ac/jira-slack-integration/addon-config-page
so that you can enable the same and then see if the app is reflecting in your project
if you are still facing issues, please reach out to support https://support.atlassian.com/contact/ and the team can further check and see what is wrong here
Thank You,
Prachi
@Prachi Bolar Hi Prachi,
Slack Integration was not showing on the projects board. I then had a look at the + symbol and I then could see that I could add that.
I added that and now I can see the slack integration and can delete the linked channel.
Confirmed also in the slack channel!!!
So thank you - this worked great.
SIDE QUEST : so ... why did the MANAGE button 404, before?
HYPOTHESIS: if the SLACK INTEGRATION tab doesn't exist in the project, then it 404's when trying to MANAGE the jira settings, for a channel.
EXPERIMENT: with the tab now added, go to a slack channel and enter /jira manage .. and see if the 404 still exists.
...
..
.
IT WORKS! ok - so some feedback. The 404 shows if the SLACK INTEGRATION tab is missing/removed. IMO, the page should not 404, regardless if the tab is showing or removed.
Thanks for the help!

Thank you @Justin for confirming this works :)
Surely we can check this scenario in our test instances and see if something can be done to avoid this error, and rather point out to what is missing :)
Thank you again for your feedback

Hey @Justin
The "Manage" option in Slack should take you to the project settings > Apps section where you can modify or delete the Slack connection.
Are you able to navigate to the Project Settings > Apps > Slack Integration section in the Jira project directly? If yes, you may modify/delete the connection from there as required.
If no, it is likely because you're not a site/project admin. You may ask the project admin to delete the connection.
Thanks!

Hi @Karan Sachdev - thank you very much for the detailed help.
When I goto the project settings, there are no apps listed under the 'apps' section:
I created the account so I should be full admin, etc.
Is there another way I can check this out?
Also, we ARE receiving messages from JIRA in slack, in a number of channels.
Thank you kindly!

From the screenshot shows the Jira Cloud app is connected to a specific Atlassian site, not necessarily a specific Slack channel. This may be the source of the confusion and why you're encountering a 404 error when trying to manage the connection.
Check the configuration of Slack plugin from Jira Manage apps section and see if its connected to specific channel or not.
Please remember, you need to be a site admin or org admin to configure the plugin.

hi @sai chinamuthevi - thank you kindly for the help.
I am an Org Admin (see screenshot above). There's no Slack Apps listed under the project, despite this project being the single/only one AND we've been using it for a year.
