I just installed Jira Software on my Linux box. Installation went on successful, but I am unable to get to the Jira login page using the url (localhost:<port_number>. I get redirected to confluence when I put url in browser. Error message;
This page is for Confluence administrators. If you're seeing this page, your Confluence administrator is probably working to restore the service.
If you're unable to fix the problems and need to contact support, we can respond faster if you provide the logs of your instance.
Secondly, I am not sure which user name or password to use even if i got to the console. I am new with Jira an will need urgent help with this is any one can assist.
Thanks.
It looks like your Confluence is also running on the same server with port 8090.
So specifically point JIRA to run in 8080 .
When you start doing the setup , it will ask you to create one administrator user .

Hi @Rene Asanga
Please note that by default Jira runs on port 8080.
If you have not configured to run Jira explicitly on port 8090, you need to use the port 8080 in your url.

Hi @Deepanshu Natani ,
I did change the default port to 8090, yet it reroutes me to a confluence page all the time.
