We have tried to get the story point field to show up on bugs through multiple different avenues with no success. We have gone through issue layouts, fields, screens, and configuration directly on an individual bug. Any other things to try or reasons why it wouldn't show up?
Hi @Lauren Hall
By default, when creating a project which has a BUG issue type, Jira creates a separate screen for that issue type. E.g.
So what I would do:
Keep in mind that you can have up to three screen depending on the action you perform (create, edit, view). In that case, you may have to add story point field to all these screens.
Let me know if you managed to do it.
Alex
Hi Alex,
Thanks for taking the time to respond to my question. We have done what you mentioned as far as making sure the correct screens are associated with the project and adding story points by going into the project settings, issue layouts. Here is a screenshot of the issue layout showing that story points have been added but still are not showing up as field.

Can you use the "Find your field" and paste the results here? (open an issue, click the ellipsis menu, and then "find your field". Type "story points" and hit enter)

And also, paste a screenshot of an issue, to see all the available fields please.
