Unable to find the field (required tick box)

Since our fields are updated, I can't find the spot where the required box is coming from. company managed Jira site admin

custom fields show not required 

the field is from CMDB 

Unable to find the spot the required box is coming from , JSM is showing not required but Jira shows required in the project, maybe I've gone silly from looking at it too long

Hello @Troy Edmonds 

The red asterisk indicating the a field is required during item creation can come from two locations:

1. The Field Configuration

2. Rules in the Create transition of the workflow that applies to the specified Space for the item type being created.

If you are not seeing the field set as Required in the Field Configuration, then check the workflow Create transition, looking at the Validate Details for a validation that indicates a field is required.

Thanks, I forgot I made some validation rules in the workflow

fixed now
