Unable to find component in scrum project

Hi I am a new user to Jira.

I am trying to create a component and every video suggests that it is available in the project side bar but I am not able to see a sidebar at all to create component

It may be that you are on Next-gen or it is a permissions issue.

Hi Jack,

Thank you for reaching out. Yeah I was actually on next gen, I created a kanban there after and it worked out but now I couldn’t find sub tasks. so easy thing I keep finding that I made some small error.
