Unable to fetch organisation name.

I have 1 organisation and 2 instances. On one of the instances with app admin rights and billing admin rights the user is able to access the billing console. On the other instance with same rights the user is not able to access billing console it same permissions required and even the organisation name is not fetched.

When you say instances, you mean sites, correct? Here's a bit detailed explanation between organizations and sites: Understand Atlassian sites and organizations

Firstly, can you verify Org admin permissions for what account (I'm guessing the same account is used in both cases)? To do that, go to admin.atlassian.com, select the organization, and confirm the user's role under Directory > Users.

Additionally, in Atlassian Administration (admin.atlassian.com), can you check if you see both sites under Apps > Sites?

Also, if everything seems correct from that end, you might try to use a different browser (or incognito mode) to see if the problem shows up there as well 👀

Last question - you've mentioned fetching Org name. Are you trying to use REST APIs for that, or is it just that the Org name displays a blank value somewhere in admin.atlassian.com?

If you could share some screenshots, that might help troubleshoot this.

I am the only one who is the site admin & org admin

The user who is trying to access billing is navigating like Profile Picture>Profile>Gear Icon>Billing and then the below page appears

Note that the person is billing admin.

Well... I'll just say new billing isn't quite an intuitive thing. Billing admins can actually access only the Billing accounts page (admin.atlassian.com/billing).

As stated in the docs:

A billing admin can't access the Billing preview page unless they also have organization admin rights.

So, they cannot reach this page you're displaying unless they are also org admins.

I don't think any link on the UI (whether in Jira or in Atlassian Administration) will lead you to admin.atlassian.com/billing, so that's why I have that bookmarked in my browser.

I usually don't handle billing accounts, but our Sales do, and they are also not quite happy with all the navigation around this 😅
