Hello Folks. I am currently working on a company-managed project. I have 6 boards in it representing 6 workstreams. These workstreams are created as a custom field named Team Filter. The Kanban Board page is showing board specific issues. For example, workstream 'Enterprise Architecture' board shows issues related to Enterprise Architecture as I have applied 'Team Filter' filer in board settings. Similarly for workstream 'Program Leadership', workstream 'Talent' etc.
But the main Summary page is showing issues (and other details) of all boards. Its not showing board specific details. For example in the screenshot showing below, the board 'Enterprise Architecture' includes issues and other details of all other 5 workstreams. How to overcome this situation?
Please help. Also please let me know if any additional details required from my end.
Thanks in advance.
Hello @HQRAZAHS
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
The behaviour you're seeing is expected in Jira: the project Summary page always shows information for the entire project, not filtered by board. This is by design—Jira's native Summary/Overview page does not support dynamic filtering by board or custom field context.
At the moment, we do have a feature request in progress to have the ability to edit/update/add gadgets to the "Summary" view page. This can be tracked below:
JSWCLOUD-27750 - Ability to edit/update/add gadgets to the "Summary" view page in Jira plans
I strongly recommend you vote on this feature request and drop a comment for further updates. Please, note that all of the feature requests are implemented following our Feature Request Policy.
Thank you!

Hi, @HQRAZAHS 👋
I totally get the frustration — Jira's Summary page isn't always customizable the way we want.
If you’re looking for a solution that shows board-specific summaries, one approach you might want to try the Forge Apps Generator developed by my team. It lets you build custom Jira apps and dashboards using natural language — including gadgets and dashboards tailored to your exact use case.
For your case, you could try:
“Create a dashboard gadget that shows a summary of issues only for ‘Enterprise Architecture’ filtered by the custom field Team Filter.”
This would give you a custom gadget or app that displays only the relevant issues — per board/workstream — and avoids the noise from other workstreams.
Your prompt should include:
What data you want to see (e.g., issues, statuses, story points)
How you want to see it (e.g., chart, list, summary card)
What filters to apply (e.g., by Team Filter, project, board)
Once submitted, the app is generated instantly and deploys to your Jira — ready for your team to use.
It’s perfect when Jira’s native dashboards fall short, and you don’t want to build complex apps from scratch.

To add on, I have a filter button on the Summary page but 'Team Filter' option is not available there. If there would be a 'Team Filter' option, I can select the same and chose the workstreams from the dropdown (because the custom field type is 'dropdown') and my issue can be resolved I believe. See the screenshot for the reference.
