I want to integrate Bitbucket with Jira.  

but I get this message when I try to connect:

Just solved by deleting the invalid Bitbucket link at "DVCS Accounts" page in Jira settings.

Excellent worked for me too.  

For a little more context.  Under the "Link Bitbucket Cloud Account" button there was a hash key and a red notice saying "Invalid"  Delete that and it will work
