There was a UPM update available so I applied it. Once complete, there are no more add ons, it's been replaced with SIL/Manager.
I don't see any of my plugins. My EazyBI and others appear to be gone.
How can I back out of this safely?
It's not been replaced, the other app has just moved up the list to fill the space the UPM has vacated.
I'm afraid this means the UPM plugin has failed to (re)load. Try a restart of Jira first, then refer to https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/universal-plugin-manager-upm-troubleshooting-223224649.html for troubleshooting
Oops, just seen that page is broken, I've asked Atlassian to put the "include" back so you can see next steps.

For activating safe mode in UPM this knowledge base article should be working meanwhile as an interim also - until the include is fixed on the beforementioned link :)
