Two companies, two accounts, one project?

Dear JIRA users

My questions refers more to JIRA licensing and set-up . We are two different (small) companies working together on one common project.

Is it possible to use the license for up to ten people for each company in order to save license costs, but share one or two boards for our common project?

How can we set that scenario up?

Thank you very much for your reply & help.
It will save us tremendous amount of time, if someone could give us a hint, where to look to, before setting up JIRA wrongly.

Thank you, Gregor.

So, there's no way to have to servers and still share a board on one of them? What a pity!

If more than 10 users are going to work on one server - you have to buy next license tier (10+ users). No other options.
