Trying to create a new Scrum board from an existing Kanban board, but can't find project

Deleted user January 16, 2019

I'm trying to create a new scrum board from an existing Kanban one, but when Jira prompts to input which board name I'm looking to create it from, the one I need never pops up as one of the options. Jira tells me that that board doesn't exist, but it's in my list of boards in the same project.

Hello Maddie,

Welcome to Atlassian community.

By default, JIRA does not give the option to create a Scrum board based on another board. The options available are:

Could you please let me know what is the option you are selecting? If possible, provide us with a screenshot of the steps you are taking.

If you are trying to create a new board using a saved filter of another board, I suggest you the steps below:

1 - Navigate to the Kanban board which has the JQL filter you are trying to use > Board Settings > General > Copy the name of the filter

2 - Navigate to the Shared filters page of your site and paste the filter name in the search bar

3 - Confirm if your user is configured in the filter details to access it

4 - Click to create a new board and paste the filter name in the drop-down when required

We will be waiting for your answer.
