Trying to add an LDAP directory to JIRA but the Add Directory button does not work

Hi all, first time posting here.

I'm basically trying to add a LDAP user directory but the "Add Directory" button in Administration>User Management>User Directories simply isn't working.  When I press it, nothing happens. Here are some info:

• Jira version is 8.8.0
• Microsoft Azure Active Directory single sign-on for Jira app has been installed for SSO
• Jira has been configured to work in https, being a prerequisite of SSO

Here are some things I've tried to troubleshoot the issue:

• Created a specific local user (internal directory) user which is a member of "Jira System Administrators" in the global permission
• Tried using Firefox, Chrome, Edge and IE

I've been searching for a solution to this issue for a long time but I've found anything regarding this. I've seen that someone finally managed to click on it by using Firefox but it isn't working for me.

Same her for me.

"Add directory" is not possible and also expanding e.g. the "Advanced Settings" of an existing user directory is not working.

No messages in the log file found and also tried all browsers like above.

Jira Version: 7.9.2 (running on Azure VM)

Java: Java bundled with installer 

VM: Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS

Proxy: Azure App Gateway V1
