Transition screen returns "Internal server error" when transitioning issue from a status to another

I am dealing with a situation for a project which has an Internal Error Server. I mean, when an user wants to make a transition from Documented in Submitted, this error shows up.

Could you help me with this?

if you are still having this error I would first ask you if you have any apps installed?  If the answer is yes, do any of them have anything to do with Workflows?  If you answer yes to that I would suggest disabling the app and seeing if the transition works.  If it does reenable the app and then take a look at what it is doing on the workflow and see if you can fix the issue.

If you do not have an app or you are unable to fix the issue let me know.
