Transition from Classic to NextGen Board

Hello. I have inherited a project which was originally set up on a 'classic' JIRA board. I would like to move to a 'Next-Gen' board to take advantage of the additional functionality available  - however, I don't want to lose sight of JIRA actions previously completed on the Classic board. Is it possible to easily transition to a 'Next-Gen' board without sight of previously completed JIRA Actions - if so, what is considered to be the best approach?

I'm not exactly sure what you meant by this. "Previously completed actions" on issues become part of the issue's change history, which you can check any time in the future regardless on which board the issue is placed on:
