We've been seeing these tooltip windows pop up over data fields, links and general information on ticket search screens.  This has become detrimental as the tooltip covers links and either heavily obscures or completely blocks the ability to click them. Any help would be appreciated.  JiraTooltip.jpg

Hi @Robert Rogers welcome to the community.  Do you know what version of Data Center you are using?  Does this happen to every user?  Have you tried another PC to see if you can reproduce it there?  Are there any specific steps that you can do to get it to happen?  What browser are you using, have you tried a different one to see if it's still an issue?

Have you tried flushing your browser cache to see if it makes a difference?

I did find JRASERVER-43952 on Atlassian's site. You could vote for and watch that if you'd like.  It's been out there for a bit.

That work item has a reference to a 3rd Party Add On that may be causing it.  If you're using any, deactivating them may be something to try.

Hope that helps.

Do you know what version of Data Center you are using? I apologize, we are using JIRA Service Desk 4.13.21 not Datacenter.

Does this happen to every user?  Yes

Have you tried another PC to see if you can reproduce it there?  Yes

Are there any specific steps that you can do to get it to happen?  It only seems to happen on the Issues search/filter screen.

What browser are you using? We have tried on both Chrome and Edge

Have you tried a different one to see if it's still an issue?  No others besides the two above.

Have you tried flushing your browser cache to see if it makes a difference? Yes it made no difference

I did find JRASERVER-43952 on Atlassian's site. You could vote for and watch that if you'd like.  It's been out there for a bit. It has been out for a while but looks like a very similar issue that was never resolved after the plugin issue.  It does look like a similar issue so I have added it to my watchlist.

That work item has a reference to a 3rd Party Add On that may be causing it.  If you're using any, deactivating them may be something to try. I don’t believe we are using any 3rd party Add Ons.  However, I didn’t setup our system. I will look into this.

The problem for us also started after attempting to update our system.  We ended up restoring from a backup due to complications with the update and that is when the behavior started.
