Timeline view - is it possible to keep dependencies below their linked issue when filtering?

When in timeline view, and there are no filters, dependencies show below the issue they're linked to. However, if I apply a filter, all the dependencies go to the bottom of the list, making it harder to see the flow in a timeline.

Without filtering:

With the filter applied (status, for example) - all linked issues are at the bottom causing lots of overlapping lines and making it harder to see the dependencies. Also, the expand option is removed.

@Laura Lee I would suggest submitting a feature request here to see if this can be updated in the future https://jira.atlassian.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa?selectPageId=10440
